My respected Mr. Spyhalski, respected delegates :
I accept with thanks from your hands the gift of the capital of Poland, Warsaw, as a mark of the fraternal feelings of the Polish people towards the peoples of the Soviet Union, and as a symbol of the firm fighting alliance between Poland and the Soviet Union against our common enemy, Hitlerite Germany.
