EXPULSION (of) Comrades Zinoviev and Trotsky from the Central Committee of the CPSU.
(Adopted by the joint plenum of the CC and CCC, CPSU (b) 23.X.27 g).

Joint Plenary Session of the Central Committee and Central Control Commission in August 1927 showed a high degree of tolerance and compliance in relation to Comrades Trotsky and Zinoviev, enabling these comrades to fulfill its promise of August 8th on the destruction of the elements of factionalism and limit warning, which was the last warning.

However, Comrades Trotsky and Zinoviev again deceived the party and grossly violate commitments they have undertaken, not only not destroyed the 'elements of factionalism, "but, on the contrary, bringing factional struggle against the Party and its unity to a degree bordering on the formation of a new anti-Leninist party in conjunction with bourgeois intellectuals .

In view of the joint plenum of the Central Committee and Central Control Commission decides Comrades Trotsky and Zinoviev from the Central Committee to be expelled.

Joint Plenary Session of the Central Committee and Central Control Commission decides on, all data on the separatist activities of the Trotskyist opposition leaders (organizing illegal, anti-Party printing press for the destruction of the party, organizing block of the renegade Maslow, Ruth Fischer, Souvarine for the destruction of the Comintern, as well as group Smirnov - Sapronova submit to the XV Congress of the party etc.).
